As a Security Engineering Project Manager you will be responsible for delivering security improvements and creative mitigations and remediation strategies for Wallet and Payments organization. As a Security Engineering Project Manager on the Wallet and Payments team, you will help shape the roadmap and delivery of one of the most impactful services at Apple.

Description

As a Security Engineering Program Manager, you are both a technical and functional expert in the world of security. You will work cross-functionally with other project managers and engineers to improve security of new and existing products and services by facilitating discussions on security risks, threat reviews, security testing readouts and prioritizing risk remediations. You will be responsible for driving internal security initiatives and capabilities by identifying deliverables, managing risk and improving our processes while working towards successful outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Support security projects and capabilities, working directly with engineering managers and cross functional teams - Lead all aspects of project information including scoping, timelines and resource allocation - Lead multiple cross-functional projects by providing project leadership and daily management through project life cycle - Identify inter-dependencies between the various partner groups to ensure all are aligned and risks are identified, mitigated and communicated - Navigate and complete tasks in an environment of ambiguity and lead teams to the successful delivery of solutions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Self-starter with 5+ years of strong experience in one or more of the following areas : Security reviews, Certificate based authentication, detection and response, Security protocols, Cloud security, Network security, incident and/or vulnerability management, and Security Operations.
  • Willing to dig into the details and understand the customer impact of different security risks and how they impact different product verticals.
  • Effective project management, organizational skills, technical competence, ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow through deadlines/projects simultaneously under minimal supervision
  • Proven track record to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across various business units.
  • Ability to establish relationships across business, engineering & leadership teams.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving and facilitation skills coupled with good business insight.
  • Outstanding presentation, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization including external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Application integration, Software development life cycle preferred.
  • Exposure to compliance and privacy areas would be a plus.
  • Financial Technology or Threat Modeling experience is a plus.
  • Degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience is highly desirable.
