Description

Lead the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of a global SOX compliance strategy, ensuring scalability, sustainability and alignment with organizational objectives. Coordinate with external auditors to establish an optimal reliance model, integrating self-testing to support efficient ICFR assessments. Enhance SOX program methodologies through process improvements, automation and the deployment of advanced technologies. Regularly review and assess control design for effectiveness and scalability, providing guidance on improvements and monitoring remediation efforts. Lead training programs for internal stakeholders, ensuring awareness of SOX requirements, fraud risk and internal controls. Prepare and deliver program updates, including testing results and remediation progress, to senior management, the Audit and Finance Committee and other key stakeholders. Collaborate with business teams on new initiatives, system implementations, policy changes and activities to evaluate and address impacts on internal controls.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 20+ years of experience in public accounting, internal audit, or finance, with extensive expertise with SOX and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.
  • CPA or equivalent; additional certifications (e.g., CIA) are desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven leadership in large-scale SOX compliance programs, including designing, implementing and optimizing ICFR frameworks for complex, global organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and align senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and execution skills, with a track record of delivering large-scale finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior executives, the Audit and Finance Committee and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of internal controls, US GAAP, PCAOB standards and emerging trends in SOX compliance.
  • Proven success in team development, including mentoring, training and building high-performing teams.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $249,800 and $400,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
