The wireless Silicon Validation team validates radio transceivers integrated into complex wireless SoCs. Our transceivers have powered wireless connectivity solutions for Apple wearable products, enabling the smallest form factor at the lowest power envelope. You will have the opportunity to do innovative RF test development while working closely with product teams at Apple. Description
- Design, integrate, and correlate rack-mounted test equipment such as combiners, attenuators, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, RF switches, and power meters. - Write test scripts using a buildup environment to automate measurements. - Perform RF system characterization measuring EVM, spectral mask, phase noise, gain, noise figure, IIP3, and many other radio parameters. - Ensure automated test coverage meets the test plan requirements - Generate RF test reports by curating large data sets. - Innovate and challenge the status quo with ideas to improve test automation, test speed, test tools, data analysis & presentation, etc.
- Minimum BS.
- Excellent scripting and debugging knowledge in any of the following: Python, C/C++, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of RF TX, RX, PLL transceiver chains, and general wireless systems measurements (i.e., IP3, NF, ACPR, phase noise, lock time, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in CS or EE.
- Experience in RF test development, debugging, and reporting.
- Hands-on knowledge with RF calibration of path losses using a network analyzer,
- Strong RF background and familiarity with RF systems fundamentals.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $183,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
