The RDM team create and care for Apple Stores that look, feel, and function as beautifully as our products. We do this by obsessing over the employee and customer experience, and driving a global strategy that sets the bar. Existing Fleet Innovations group will focus on ensuring our current stores worldwide, across all Vintages, are well positioned to serve the changing needs of our customers and our store teams. We analyze, research, and create key new architectural components and compelling design solutions in the complete store environment including both sales areas and backstage environments. Key primary goal will be to Innovate and drive design options and design deliverables with input from our cross functional partners at RDM and RE&D to generate efficient, thoughtful, and relevant solutions for our existing fleet of store in a timely manner.

Description
Develop innovative design concepts for specific architectural components, systems, details and create work product for internal approval reviews. Directly manage diverse team of external Architectural and Engineering consultants and vendors to create and maintain documentation and work product that will inform the prototypical documentation used across all existing store projects. Understand and interpret local and international building codes, integrating comprehensive design solutions that are compliant with local and or international building codes. Contribute to strategic thinking and innovative development of improvements for exiting store designs across all existing store types.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of architecture and construction industry experience.
- Professional degree in architecture or construction management.
- Demonstrate flexible thinking and creative problem solving within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and finalize projects effectively and independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills required to develop strong working relationships across business groups and key stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional licensure preferred.
- Strong knowledge of common construction methods, materials, and practices.
- Ability to express ideas and concepts by freehand sketching.
- Working knowledge of CAD, SketchUp, BIM tools and strategies.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Genuine passion and curiosity for architectural design and the arts.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $85,700 and $129,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
