Apple's Environment and Supply Chain Innovation Team in Apple's Operations team is seeking a Responsible Materials Sourcing Manager who will lead a team to strategize and carry out Apple's best-in-class Responsible Materials Management program, including secondary sourced minerals and materials. Apple's efforts go well beyond legal compliance - Apple goes deep in the supply chain and keeps people and the planet at the center of everything we do. In addition to managing the Responsible Materials Management program, the position will collaborate extensively with other Environment and Supply Chain Innovation teams, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Procurement, and Government Affairs to understand the impacts, barriers and opportunities with existing and future material, manufacturing, and recycling paths. The role requires a driven, independent, analytical individual who wants to promote innovation and manage complex international stakeholder relationships.

Description

Ability to navigate conversations with suppliers and prioritize team's projects with business needs in mind - taking into account cost, supply, return on investment, and other commercial considerations. Decision-making experience in a corporate due diligence program, including Dodd-Frank Section 1502 compliance Proven track record of successfully managing a team with highly measurable goals and outcomes Proven project management skills, and capable of working with interdisciplinary project teams and international partners Developing and driving supplier requirements that relate to labor, human rights and environment Knowledge of and practical experience with supply chain analytics and mapping Ability to execute detailed processes and procedures to complete tasks involving data collection and task management
  • BA degree
  • 3+ years of team management experience
  • 10+ years of professional experience

  • Ability to drive program innovation through process enhancements and efficiencies
  • Excellent people skills including development and mentorship skills
  • Highly organized and self-directed
  • Keen attention to detail in driving for results
  • Deep subject matter expertise in third-party certification schemes and industry processes
  • World-class program management, strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and with outside entities
  • Expert relationship development and management capabilities
  • A systems thinker who can work through complex interconnections to identify key points of leverage to achieve desired business objectives
  • Ability to travel 5-10% domestically and internationally as needed

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $155,100 and $233,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
