Description
As Apple's Research Manager, you will establish and refine satisfaction and experience surveys for the People Org, with a focus on the People Support helpline. You will drive end-to-end implementation, including survey design, analytics, reporting, and partner management. Support a comprehensive strategy for assessment and analytics across programs and services, including standardized employee engagement/NPS metrics; relating these metrics to other employee listening programs on engagement and career achievements. You will lead the survey vendor to prepare for launch, fielding, and analysis, including quality control, testing, and other aspects of survey operation. You will own partner communications and support materials for the surveys (e.g., updates to leadership on survey plans and fielding, survey reporting, and support program improvement processes). Design and conduct pilot and ad hoc studies (e.g., online surveys, employee focus groups/in-depth interviews). Manage syndicated research sources. Conduct analytics to support ad hoc requests and explore emerging areas, and make recommendations what should be scaled to an ongoing survey analytic product. Partner closely with our Senior People Leaders to provide the insights needed to enable their teams to action on survey results within their functions and work with other Research Managers, Analysts, and Data Scientists across our extended team on analysis of survey data and people data (incl. time away/leave of absence, talent management, compensation, etc.) to provide a comprehensive understanding of employee experience and career journey.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years market research, customer satisfaction, and analytics experience, with a focus on program or product evaluation
- Experience crafting and managing customer satisfaction and experience surveys end-to-end, from capturing requirements; designing survey items and invitation logic; working with cross-functional teams and vendor to manage fielding; analyzing results and crafting reports; and presenting insights to senior leaders
- Excellent research management and organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and ability to balance multiple tasks in a constantly evolving environment
- Strong communication, visualization, and articulation skills to deliver meaningful insights to shape People decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- Combination of consulting and industry experience, including in a global role
- Experience leading strategy on research methodology and survey design; identifying what needs to be measured and how to measure
- Strong facilitation skills to build consensus for strategy across executives, leadership, and cross-functional teams
- Experience partnering with external vendors and internal development engineering teams to support prototype design/pilots and development of survey reporting products
- Deep expertise with application of analytic techniques (t-tests, crosstabs, cluster and factor analysis, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and conjoint), including experience with analytics and visualization platforms (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau, SPSS)
- Graduate degree in business administration, psychology/social sciences, or economics
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $210,900 and $316,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
