As a member of Marcom's IT Team, you will design, implement, and maintain services which directly support Apple's marketing creative teams. You'll be backed up by an experienced team of systems, network, and desktop engineers who handle the infrastructure for all video and motion graphics operations.

Description
You will have the opportunity to work within a team that leads in the design and creation of award-winning 2D and 3D marketing content. The role will be focused on enabling the teams' individual objectives by maintaining, servicing, and supporting the day-to-day technical support needs of the group. RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up and put new workstations and render machines into operation. Manage deadline render farm configuration, and help artists troubleshoot failed jobs. Bash/DOS/python scripting to automate processes and improve efficiency. Participate in architectural planning discussions to ensure a consistent roadmap. Spearhead the research and implementation of new cloud technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with macOS, Linux, iOS, Windows
- Professional experience in a Systems/IT support position, ideally in a visual effects, editing, VR studio environment
- Experience with Maya, C4D, Houdini, and Adobe CC applications
- Knowledge of rendering tools including Deadline and Deadline Cloud
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with software compilation, package management, virtualization, OS lifecycle management, diagnostic and performance troubleshooting.
- Scripting skills, including Bash scripting, Python, SQL, and Ruby
- Broad experience supporting and maintaining common Linux/Unix applications and services, as well as a good understanding of DNS, DHCP, LDAP, NFS, AutoFS, Kerberos, PAM, PXE, SNMP, SSH, VNC, X11, HTTP/S, and NTP
- Basic understanding and operation of professional video cameras such as the Arri Alexa, Sony Venice, Phantom Flex
- Comfortable creating and following documented procedures, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage large volumes of work efficiently. You're great at prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Experience working in Visual effects, editing and VR studio environment
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is preferred.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $140,700 and $234,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
