We are looking for a Program Manager to lead the office of Strategy and Operations (S&O) for the newly formed Media & Entertainment Technology Team that supports Apple's Services including Music, Fitness+, Beats and TV+. This role requires a technical and operational thought leader who reports to the Head of IS&T M&E. This role will take guidance and direction from the Head of M&E IS&T and his management team to help identify, and/or report on prioritized strategy and operations initiatives. This role will also have direct responsibility for a number of strategic and operational programs and initiatives.

Description
Work directly with the program leads to identify and remediate operational issues that correlate to program priorities. Partner with program leads to maintain and/or increase the rate of program expansion, by identifying opportunities and ensuring that we are resourced to meet the demand. Own the S&O program, creating status reporting, driving cohesion and facilitate adoption while incorporating feedback from program and product management teams across IS&T while keeping the agility and fluidity of our programs at the forefront. Own and support the operations team which handles keynote presentations, daily operations around space planning, fiscal planning, resource management and oversees employee and vendor experience while fostering culture within the organization around process and efficiency. Stand up and staff out the new Architecture Department, which helps align our Product, Design, Data and Software Engineering groups around the values and processes of the businesses we support while keeping a 10,000ft view of systems, how they interoperate and where we need to make data or infrastructure changes. Define the strategic plan for expansion into new lines of businesses with existing capabilities of the team while identifying areas of growth for program and product management while keeping the customer relationship at the center of everything we do. Consistently seek out areas of inefficiencies that create waste, prescribes and drives progressive approaches to improve team, technical, project, product, program and service performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years delivering large and complex projects.
- 3+ years managing day-to-day budgets, administrative and financial deadlines.
- 3+ years guiding software engineering and design practices for internal development.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in solving operational and technical challenges across a wide variety of focus areas.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to build effective relationships across levels and functions.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of professionalism; able to work autonomously on assignments and handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Able to anticipate leadership & organizational needs, changes and course correct appropriately.
- Experience with vertical LOB's and horizontal groups across company organizations to devise organizational strategy, assess priorities and get buy-in to drive process improvements and get results.
- Understand technical and operational challenges to effectively roadmap and diagnose issues within content engineering and product development in tandem with the leads of the respective teams.
- 4+ years working in the media & entertainment industry and/or the information technology function.
- Experience managing budgets and knowledge of financial planning cycles at Apple.
- Ability to gather data to help inform technical decisions and contribute to technical product and program strategy.
- Understanding of efficient and effective technical, data, business and solutions architecture to guide software engineering and design practices for internal development.
- Knowledge of standardizing program operations, headcount planning and space planning across global offices and vertical groups.
- Has the ability to work with and across Apple's internal engineering groups such as AMP/ASE and other IS&T teams to drive efficiency of operations and intervene to course correct projects and services if applicable.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
