As part of our Camera Technologies group, you'll help design the innovative technology that allows each generation of Apple products to produce photos even more incredible than the last. You'll design and develop groundbreaking ideas for everything involved in our camera systems, from sensor to lens. You'll collaborate with teams across Apple to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware for Apple products. Together, we'll craft a magical photography experience that redefines what millions of customers can expect from their cameras. Description

- Work as the key packaging / process engineer supporting complex camera modules including strobe and including semiconductor packaging - Responsible for the Equipment, Process and Material that define the initial / new architecture to meet both design and manufacturing requirements for the camera HW - Establish and define the initial FMEA, DFM, Process / Design guidelines for Camera Process - Formulate, interpret and recommend complex DOE that will drive the overall resolution and determine both existing and future capability for all process related activities and executions - Drive all FACA related to process that causing quality, reliability and other performance metrics both form engineering and initial MP - Develop, work and drive MI together with the in-region team - Provide leadership in the areas of module construction, materials, equipment, processes, reliability, and testing - Participate in the selection of vendors and equipment and define the overall strategy with the in-region counterpart - Collaborate with multiple multi-functional team across different Org during early and engineering development including the initial MP stage of the production - Provide leadership to a team of Asia based process engineers supporting the process development and qualification - Provide communication to senior management on issues as needed - Travel to vendor sites will be required
  • Bachelor's degree and prior relevant industry experience
  • Experience in semiconductor module packaging or relevant areas
  • Strong collaboration skill to work with diversified x-function team
  • Demonstrated ability to perform DOE, data analysis, and process capability control
  • Demonstrated failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem solving for product yield and quality issue

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with subcontract manufacturing partners
  • Knowledge of assembly manufacturing processes, high volume manufacturing, and production ramp experience

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $183,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
