Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Power Control Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of new power control systems. You will be responsible for designing and evolving the power control architecture deployed in Apple products to extend and improve battery life and user experience while meeting device power constraints. This work involves gathering and analyzing performance/power data from real-world workloads, cooperating with system and software teams to systematically characterize and analyze power/performance profiles and evaluating power control algorithms based on gained insights.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS with 3 years relevant industry experience or equivalent.
- 3 years experience programming with MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, bash and/or Python.
- 3 years experience with control system design such as Classical and Modern Control Systems Theory, System Identification algorithms, Estimation Theory and/or Signal Processing.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
- Innovative and critical system-level thinker with control system design and debug skills.
- Desire to bring data-driven decision-making and analytics to improve our products.
- Highly professional and collaborative.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
