Our small team has already shipped hundreds of millions of chips into several Apple product lines, including new products launched this year. We are looking for a hardworking engineer that is enthusiastic about embedded hardware design. You can work closely with a diverse and creative team to craft complex test systems for state-of-the-art power supplies. This role includes a broad scope of work including simulations, software, bringup, debug, extraction, and analysis. Description
In this exciting role you will be responsible for: - Lab validation system design and development using circuits such as LDO, Buck, ADC, DAC, Op-AMP, FPGA etc., and control interface like I2C, SPI, SPMI, etc - Circuit design, schematic, analysis, layout, and review in a PCB environment - Knowledge of signal and power integrity (PDN analysis) is preferred - Hands-on lab experience with hardware bring-up and debug - Drive the debug and resolution of engineering issues working with cross-functional teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
- MSEE preferred*
- Experience with hardware development from specification to bring up and downstream support.
- Skilled at component development and selection for schematics design
- Ability to design or guide high quality PCB layouts into fabrication
- Prior experience using CAD tools such as Cadence Allegro, Altium,etc for multi-layer board layout is desired
- Familiarity with microcontroller/FPGA/logic design and programming
- Skillful in an electronics lab environment using real time oscilloscopes, analyzers, function generators, automation hardware, power supplies, and electronic loads
- Familiarity with challenges relating to power quality, high-speed signal integrity and control interface
- Coding or automation experience in Python is a plus
- Excellent written, verbal and communication skills focused on teamwork and collaboration in a dynamic cross-functional environment
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
