The CoreOS software team is looking for an exceptionally talented Embedded Software Engineering manager in the PMU and Power Systems Software group for Apple products. This group is responsible for development of our Core System Management Controller platform FW/SW and System Power Distribution (PMIC) FW/SW. You will contribute to the success of much of Apple's product line including the AppleWatch, all iOS products, and all Mac products. This is a highly cross functional role where you will work closely with teams across SW, HW, Systems teams, Platform Architecture, and our Silicon development teams.

The PMU and Power Systems Engineering Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of a highly talented engineering team that is responsible for the PMU and Power Systems Firmware/Software development and productization across all of Apple's product line including Apple Watch, iOS products, and all Mac products. Key responsibilities will include - - Hiring and retaining top talent, defining and delivering the team's roadmap with high quality deliverables on schedule - Identifying and mitigating risks in the Program schedule - Working cross-functionally for delivering Product Features - Promoting a team culture that encourages innovation and sets high standards for quality and productivity
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or 8+ years of experience on equivalent work experience
- Experience in SoCs, Firmware and device drivers
- Experience leading a team of software and firmware engineers
- Proven track record of delivering high quality software aligned with program schedules in a fast paced environment
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams to deliver successful products
- Experience hiring, retaining, motivating high performing talent within the team
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of embedded software/firmware development experience
- 5+ years of technical leadership and management experience
- Good to have knowledge of System Management Controller and Embedded Power System Technologies
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
