You will play a meaningful role leading the Project Management Office (PMO) support of Apple's Operations project teams. We are looking for a candidate to lead the PMO team to drive a range of capabilities from supporting strategic planning, through portfolio management and governance, to supporting individual project requests for support!

Description

The PMO is a supporting function for the global Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) teams. We are the project and business change management function within Apple Operations. Our PMO has several key responsibilities: 1. Strategy & Planning: • Enable BPR Leaders to make the best Investment Decisions to deliver high solutions • Driving strategic alignment through multi-year road-mapping and through leading the annual capital planning process for Operations. • Drive professional representation of BPR to the rest of Apple (executive presentations) 2. Execution: Drive Operational Efficiencies and reduce risk across the Portfolio • Owning execution at the portfolio level - reporting, cross portfolio impact assessment • Drive Opex (Planning and Tracking) • Develop systems and processes to drive efficiencies and deliver benefits • On a day-to-day basis drive ongoing portfolio management processes such as completing ongoing portfolio reporting, highlighting critical issues / exceptions, joining BPR team meetings, training and mentoring BPR team members on how to assure project delivery at Apple. 3. Setting the standards and tools via which BPR completes its work: • Drive the management system which the BPR teams use to stay aligned and communicate internally. • Act as a program management function for key cross functional initiatives within Operations. • Drive standardization and professional representation of BPR to the rest of Apple (executive presentations) 4. People • Lead and support programs to enrich the "People Experience" and improve their strengths • Facilitate the management system to drive findings ongoing for employees on key topics e.g. Presentation skills, new hire induction, workshops and more

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field required. MBA or Master's degree preferred.
  • Deep understanding of project, program and portfolio planning and delivery to the level that they can set standards, propose policy, and mentor others.
  • Proven understanding of end-to-end business processes of a manufacturing business, from sales through the supply chain.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The ability to bring structure to one's own work and the work of others.
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal, written and presentation.
  • Strong ability to personally drive large scale initiatives under pressure, with high levels of complexity and ambiguity.
  • Develop and lead a high performing team: Invest heavily in employee development and mentoring for growth
  • Prior consulting experience with Big 4 Consulting Firms is desirable, but not required.
  • Prior leadership role driving strategy and change across diverse groups within and across organizations.
  • Expertise in leading diverse teams and investing in mentoring and growth for the individuals.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,300 and $277,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
