The team is seeking an experienced professional to define and manage the product roadmap and help shape the future of the Apple Home experience.
Description
As a HomeKit Program Manager, your primary responsibility is to define amazing home experiences. You will be expected to create an executable plan that can be distilled into a product roadmap and collaborate with engineering and design. You should have a good understanding of the overall smart home landscape including current challenges and customer frustrations as well as seeing solutions that leap frog what's in the market today. Our goals are simple, but the task is large; create the most amazing home experiences on the planet that our customers will love! You will also: - Define and lead the product roadmap for Apple's home initiatives; collaborating with partners throughout the broader organization. Take part in developing the mid and long-term vision for Apple's experience in the home. - Research and define the future of the smart home experience and the vital platform capabilities, leveraging Apple's integrated hardware/software ecosystem.Be passionately focused on the end user experience and ensure customer needs are reflected in product strategy - Develop compelling, detailed use cases to help solidify product definition.

Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in software/consumer-focused product development in product/program management or engineering roles. Experience in smart home/IoT space a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with a wide range of team members and job functions - all the way up to executives. Willingness to work in a hands-on, high volume, dynamic, and constantly evolving environment
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- You have the ability to think strategically in driving internal stakeholders to a consensus on important issues, and have a track record of initiating and influencing change within large organizations
- Deeply detail focused; you believe an outstanding product is the sum of an inordinate number of small, thoughtful decisions
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
