As a TFT Process & Device Engineer focusing on new display technology development and prototyping, your role is beyond a typical process engineer: you are the integration engineer when it comes to materialize a display prototype with new TFT design and new optical features; you are a researcher when looking for new materials and developing advanced processes to enable display features; you are a project leader and the tech lead in TFT process, when a prototyping request is put in your hand.

Description

This role asks you to constantly learn new advancement in display field, and to deeply understand how to define product features and setting specs, as to work closely with the Apple HQ cross-functional teams in California, and Apple industrial partners in Asia, to develop the latest flat panel that enable the best display.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience in the appropriate engineering fields, e.g. EE, Physics, Material science, Chemical Engineering, etc. PhD with industrial experience is a plus.
  • Experienced in process and the equipment to manufacturing, of semi-conductor or memory devices or flat or flexible panel processes, i.e. Photo Lithography, Thin Film Deposition, Wet/Dry Etching, and the integration of these processes
  • Experienced in semiconductor device physics and its characterization, with experiences fabricating the Metal Oxide TFT, LTPS TFT, and/or organic TFT devices are a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced in process/device modeling, i.e. TCAD/SPICE modeling
  • Business Proficiency in English written and verbal communication, and presentation
  • The willingness and ability to travel abroad, and to accommodate different time zones

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
