Apple is seeking an highly motivated optical module integration engineer to drive the development and integration of innovative optical devices and technologies into our product. This role is crucial in the optimization of optical module manufacturing and integration processes, ensuring our optical modules meet high standards of user experience and performance target.
Description
As an Optical Module Engineer, you will be advancing optical modules at the fundamental device physics/material level all the way up to system level integration and software definition. You will serve as the focal point for all optical module matters, collaborating with the system team, ergo team, operations and quality teams, and our supply chain partners. In this role, you will lead the multi-functional team to set goals and priorities every step of the way to ensure a smooth and successful product launch. You will be responsible for the optical module master specification, from pre-concept phase through mass production ramp. This will require hands-on lab work to test and characterize optical module performance and solve issues with optical module quality (for example: image quality, visual experience, reliability). You will effectively bring up supply chain, lead supply chain partnerships, pushing the technology forward and strengthening vendor relations using outstanding collaboration abilities. Travel to component and optical module vendor is required.
