Description
We are seeking an experienced, hardworking engineer to support the design and integration of Apple's products by leading the investigation of sophisticated optical and electro-optical components inside the Vision Pro system, camera, display optics and sensing modules. You will work with both suppliers and cross-functional teams at Apple to craft the technologies that go into our outstanding products.
Minimum Qualifications
- Robust understanding and technical background in optics, physics and material science.
- BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience in Optics, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent
- Experience in geometric or diffractive optical component design, process and integration into optical module
- Experience with nano-optics manufacturing process including deposition, lithography, nano-imprint, etching etc.
- Knowledge and experience of thin film or nanostructure optical design and modeling, process and characterization
- Advanced cross-functional coordination and team management
- Ability to travel 10% of the time, domestic and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience and proven track record in areas relating to optics, optical coating or advanced semiconductor process technology development
- Experience with diffraction optics, metasurface optics or silicon-photonics
- Experience with simulation software for optical, FEA or Multiphysics , such as COMSOL
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
