Description

We seek a strong leader responsible for manufacturing test in our iPad and watch product lines. This role requires strong technical expertise in manufacturing and test processes, acumen to innovate for test integrity and efficiency, and proven ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams to drive solutions forward. This position has high visibility in the Operations organization, requiring frequent communication with executives. Lead and grow a talented team of engineers to deliver robust and efficient high volume manufacturing test solutions Be the test owner and leader in operations for multiple products across supply chain nodes and suppliers. Collaborate with engineering to synthesize, challenge, and shape test strategy in early development. Build scaleable and efficient engineering and management processes throughout product life cycle to ensure production test readiness Excel at seeing around the corner and proactively anticipate and address potential test problems Strong focus on applying digital transformation and data based decisioning to production test Build strong influence and collaboration across engineering and operations organizations; guide teams to focus, prioritize, and converge in timely manner.
  • 10+ years experience in Test or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar) including 5+ of those years in people management, preferably in high volume consumer electronics industry
  • BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline, MS preferred. MBA is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Delivered multiple complex test projects from NPI to mass production under demanding timelines and cross functional work streams
  • Proven track records of cutting through ambiguity by establishing objectives and priorities, developing plans, and anticipating risks
  • Comprehensive understanding of high-volume manufacturing test processes, data and failure analysis, and measurement control metrics
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and enjoys both hands-on work and high-level strategic thinking
  • Have a curious mind, always seeking improvement in technical and business opportunities
  • Skilled in presenting complex technical updates to executive audiences
  • Excels in building and nurturing positive relationships with internal and external partners

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $252,400 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
