We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sr Network Reliability Engineer to join our Enterprise Networks team, dedicated to ensuring the reliability and performance of our global network infrastructure. This role is pivotal in maintaining the flawless operation of our enterprise networks, improving the overall reliability, visibility, and efficiency of our network services. As a Network Reliability Engineer, you will collaborate with distributed team members to develop and implement innovative solutions for our Apple Engineering and Product teams. You will play a meaningful role in driving continuous improvement in our operational metrics and ensuring our network services meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Description
In this role you will optimize network performance by analyzing traffic patterns, capacity requirements as well as network utilization by applying monitoring tools and procedures to proactively identify performance issues. Apply your expertise to identify and resolve network issues, contributing to improved service availability and reduced downtime. Automate network provisioning, overarching, systematic problems and repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors. Conduct capacity planning assessments to anticipate future network growth and ensure adequate resources are available. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to network baseline and security. Build and maintain detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and standard operating procedures. On Call Rotation every 6 weeks.
- Deep experience in Network Reliability or similar role.
- Experience in operating and leading a large-scale network infrastructure at enterprise networking, routing, switching, wireless and firewalls.
- Experience with Python, Ansible, Perl, Go, Etc., for automation and tooling.
- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, IPV6, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, VLANs, QoS etc.).
- Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Aruba, Palo Alto networks, FortiGate etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in Network Reliability
- Consistent record in Generative AI expertise to develop predictive maintenance models, anomaly detection systems, and autonomous troubleshooting solutions
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, etc.
- Experience with cloud networking technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and technologies.
- Familiarity with network virtualization technologies (VMware NSX, NFV, Cisco ACI, etc.).
