Description

- Design and simulate state-of-the-art physical layer wireless communication algorithms with emphasis on MIMO systems. - Work closely with hardware, firmware, RF and other cross-functional teams to implement, verify and bring-up MIMO algorithms. - Ensure that performance meets expectations. - Work on next-generation algorithms and implementation per roadmap.

Minimum Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of wireless communication systems with emphasis on MIMO technology (5G LTE).
  • Ability to develop algorithms, assess performance, develop complexity-performance tradeoffs, and work closely with firmware teams on implementation.
  • Design and simulate state-of-the-art physical layer wireless communication algorithms with emphasis on MIMO systems.
  • Implement system models and perform detailed performance investigations to allow performance sign-off and enable RTL development.
  • Designing baseband algorithms for cellular modems, with emphasis on advanced demodulation and channel coding methods
  • Conducting simulations in C/C++/MATLAB and optimizing algorithms for mobile devices and ensure that performance meets expectations.
  • BS and 3+ years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Collaborate with hardware digital designers and firmware developers to realize algorithms with power and area-efficient implementation.
  • Work closely with hardware, firmware, RF and other cross-functional teams to implement, verify and bring-up MIMO algorithms. Supporting commercialization and collaborating with other SW/HW engineers.
  • Familiarity with bring up process and methodology.
  • Experience with power/performance optimization.
  • Work on next generation algorithms and implementation per roadmap.
  • MSc or Ph.D. in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science plus 5 years of experience is preferred.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
