Description

We are seeking a hardworking engineer to support the design and integration of Apple's products by owning the investigation of sophisticated optical and electro-optical components inside Vision system, camera, display optics and sensing modules. You will work with both suppliers and cross-functional teams at Apple to craft the technologies that go into our outstanding products.
  • Exploring module optics architecture aiming for technology realization in core optical components.
  • Identifying areas where optical components can improve display optics, camera, sensor and silicon performance and customer experience
  • Leading the multi-functional interaction with Product Design, Engineering/Operations, and drive international suppliers to deliver optics components/modules
  • Take total ownership to drive technologies from R&D to implementation on real products with cross functional teams

Key Qualifications

  • In depth understanding and technical background in optics, physics and material science.
  • Ms or Physics in Optics, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent
  • Experience in geometric or diffractive optical component design, process and integration into optical module
  • Experience with nano-optics manufacturing process including deposition, lithography, nano-imprint, etching etc.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
