The Audio and Media Technologies Group (AMT) provides the media foundation across all of Apple's innovative products. The CoreMedia engineering team within AMT is responsible for implementing software services around audiovisual media. This includes local media playback, video-on-demand and live streaming of multimedia content. Our media engine is used across Apple products such as Safari, TV, Photos, Music, Videos, FaceTime, iMovie on iOS, macOS and VisionOS as well as 3rd party applications. Our team is looking for an engineer who can help enhance our video playback pipeline by developing technology that powers real-time media playback features on all operating system platforms that Apple supports: iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS and visionOS. You'll architect and develop core software that is incorporated in products and services across Apple. We are looking for a focused, meticulous engineer to develop code and work with other teams to get it coordinated and launched to our customers.   • Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent
  • You have knowledge of C

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced in key multimedia technologies such as DRM, FairPlay Streaming
  • Familiarity with SoC bringup and validation
  • Seasoned at media pipeline problem solving and debugging skills
  • Experience using the CoreFoundation, AVFoundation and/or CoreMedia frameworks or equivalent technologies is a plus

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
