Apple Retail is seeking an outstanding analytical leader to lead the Market Analysis team within the Real Estate, Design, and Merchandising (RDM) department, which creates and preserves Apple Retail's global fleet of over 500 stores. The Market Analysis Team delivers rigorous analysis to drive decision-making related to Apple Retail's worldwide store expansion and reinvestments. This exciting role directly influences the future strategy for the Apple Stores where customers can explore Apple's products and services, seek support, or participate in free Today at Apple sessions around the world.

Description

We are looking for someone with deep expertise in geo-based and retail-related analytics, and a proven track-record as a people leader. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate success in managing multiple projects and priorities concurrently in a fast-paced, high-growth and results driven environment with a positive, "can-do" presence, and the ability to be solution driven in challenging situations while still delivering optimal results. Responsibilities include: -Analysis to direct Apple Retail's Store global coverage strategy, both macro market and micro site level analysis and forecasts -Revenue and cannibalization forecasts for new store opportunities and reinvestments in existing stores -Existing fleet strategy and decision support, including analysis of impacts of past investments -Market coverage and future plans for worldwide stores -Leading and coaching a team of analytical professionals, to develop their talents and goals, while fostering a strong team culture and providing guidance to elevate the team's output -Working with the team to interpret economic, demographic, and business data analysis to make strategic business recommendations -Cultivating strong working relationships with key business partners, you will also need to be a trusted partner in order to understand the business questions and to present insightful findings to all levels of leadership -Leading innovation across the team in new methodologies, tools, and databases to support the department's work, you seek to advance approaches and optimize working practices
  • 10+ years of work experience in Market Analysis at a major retailer or related strategy consulting firm experience, 12 years preferred
  • 5+ years experience as a people manager, 10 years preferred
  • Expert in Excel. Proficient in Pages and Keynote. Tableau experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in convincingly structuring and delivering content in written, oral, and formal presentations
  • Bachelors degree required

  • Influencer who is great at connecting the dots between the analytics and strategy
  • Able to accommodate domestic and international travel

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $178,900 and $269,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
