Our main goal is to deliver a magical, personal digital experience where customers can shop, buy and learn everything Apple, wherever they are. The Apple Store Online Operations team is seeking a manager to lead our Systems Workflow Architecture team responsible for designing the operational workflow for publishing & operationally executing the Apple Online Store. Reporting to the ASO Operations Optimization Leader, the ideal candidate is a dynamic leader, strategic problem solver, and detail-oriented professional with the ability to manage complexity and balance competing priorities. In a fast-paced environment, you will navigate ambiguity, champion innovative data-driven solutions, and drive the ongoing evolution of e-commerce excellence. Description

Manage, lead, and grow a team of experts in process and systems design, driving new systemic capabilities and workflows to enhance digital publishing and e-commerce operations. Collaborate effectively with Product Management and Engineering leaders to re-platform the Apple Store Online, championing cutting-edge technologies that challenge conventional approaches. Responsibilities: - Foster a positive and motivating work environment by promoting teamwork, diversity, inclusion and focusing on positive employee relationships. Coach, guide and develop each individual in their growth and career journey. - Lead the modeling and simulation of the digital content supply chain to identify bottlenecks, using root cause analysis and systems thinking to drive operational improvements and enhance overall efficiency. - Define system requirements, oversee rapid prototyping, and guide testing and validation of technological solutions, using independent judgment to determine the most effective methodologies and evaluation criteria. - Leverage complex data sets to derive actionable insights that inform strategic design decisions and optimize workflows, ensuring alignment with business goals and data-driven optimization. - Effectively communicate technical strategies, system architectures, and progress updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring cross-functional alignment and skillfully managing change throughout the product development lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a technical degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, business process re-engineering, technical program/project management, or similar fields, with 5+ years of experience managing teams and developing high-performing individual contributors.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a proven track record of effectively briefing executives (Sr. Director+ level) and cross-functional stakeholders, articulating technically complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Experience using advanced analytics tools and libraries, including Python, pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib, to analyze structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data and generate actionable insights for business decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS (in relevant fields like Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, etc.) or MBA is desired.
  • Strategic leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate a compelling vision, aligning team roadmaps with broader organizational goals.
  • Proven track record of scaling digital publishing operations, optimizing workflows, and implementing technology-driven process improvements in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale change management initiatives, driving new ways of working, innovation, and operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in content management systems, localization, and quality assurance for digital publishing and commerce operations.
  • Experience leveraging emerging technologies like AI and Machine Learning to automate operational workflows to enhance efficiency.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,700 and $349,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
