We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of Cloud Infrastructure Planning to lead our efforts in capacity forecasting, resource allocation, and efficiency optimization. The Manager of Cloud Infrastructure Planning will be responsible for overseeing the capacity planning, forecasting, and resource management of our Cloud Infrastructure operations. This role requires a deep understanding of data center infrastructure, performance monitoring, and the ability to collaborate across various teams to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

Description

CACACITY PLANNING: - Develop and maintain capacity planning models to assess current and future resource needs. - Monitor data center performance and usage patterns to forecast required capacity. - Analyze trends and make strategic recommendations to meet both business and technical requirements. COLLABORATION AND COORDINATION: - Work closely with engineering, operations, and infrastructure teams to align capacity planning with business goals. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate resource allocation and optimize performance. REPORTING AND ANALYSIS: - Prepare and present capacity reports, metrics, and forecasts to senior management. - Identify potential risks and bottlenecks and propose actionable solutions. EFFICIENCY OPTIMIZATION: - Implement strategies for energy efficiency and sustainability within data center operations. - Research and evaluate new technologies to improve capacity planning, resource management, and efficiency. Leadership: - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data center management, capacity planning, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of data center operations, infrastructure components, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Proven experience in analytical thinking, data analysis, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various teams.
  • Experience with data center management software and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree is preferred.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $173,100 and $301,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
