Description

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, forecasting, and optimizing our process to ensure we understand our Infrastructure capacity demand for various business groups. You will oversee and direct a team of infrastructure planning specialists, collaborating with IT business leaders to drive capacity planning, resource allocation, and optimize the infrastructure needed to support data center operations aligned with business needs. Responsibilities Provide mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to foster a high performing team culture. Define roles, responsibilities, and goals for team members, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives. Ensure team accountability and performance in delivering high-quality results on infrastructure planning and execution. Work with IS&T leadership team to understand the fleet and their demand. Oversee cloud cost management strategies, including budgeting, cost forecasting, and resource allocation. Develop and implement policies for optimizing cloud usage and reducing unnecessary expenses without compromising performance. Drive the adoption of new tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance infrastructure requests process. Coordinate cross-functional teams for the deployment of new infrastructure solutions and services. Act as a key decision-maker on architecture, networking, storage, and cloud infrastructure projects. Develop and maintain infrastructure performance metrics and dashboards. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on infrastructure status, key projects, and operational performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize infrastructure services and reduce operational risks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience in IT infrastructure cloud computing, and/or cloud operations or related technical domain
  • Experience in a leadership or managerial role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and/or cloud operations.
  • Proven experience in cloud migration, infrastructure automation, and optimization.
  • Leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and mentor technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-tech
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, containers, and microservices architecture.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $173,100 and $301,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
