The WW AppleCare Logistics team is a highly motivated, fast-paced, dynamic organization that is responsible for Apple's reverse logistics service operation. The team supports a number of Distribution Centers and 3PL (third party logistics) partners in multiple countries across the globe who deliver industry-leading service to our customers. We are seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer who will develop, implement and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes for a high volume reverse logistics, mail-in repair, and screening operations.

Description
In this role, we will collaborate with various AppleCare teams to coordinate processes and procedures for new and existing products. You'll estimate logistics process cost and impacts to existing process. You will determine time standards, HC requirements and recommendations for tooling, equipment and process requirements for new or existing product/process lines. You'll maintain records and reporting for logistics and screening operations and monitor quality and performance attainment by OEM or 3PL partners. You will coordinate with the service center team to understand issues/impacts and recommend the best course of action. - Authority on warehouse reverse logistics and screening processes for global and regional project implementation. - Responsible for New Product/Process Implementations. - We ensure all products and processes comply with Apple specifications. - Understanding of relevant SAP processes. - Develops and analyzes process costs. - Performs capacity planning and analysis for new and existing processes. - Implements process improvements. - Manages small projects and coordinates cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and implement change. - Partners with external vendors/companies for equipment, tooling and packaging sourcing. - Provides support to internal customers. - Main point of contact for regional partners for engineering/process issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years experience working as a Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer in a high volume electronics manufacturing/repair operation
- Bachelors degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to travel domestically/internationally (~10% of time).
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Industrial Engineering
- Experience with 3D factory modelling and visualization software (Factory CAD, Line Designer, Factory Design Suite )
- Good interpersonal, teamwork, presentation and communication skills
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work to tight project deadlines
- Deep understanding of supply chain, logistics, and eCommerce operations.
- Be comfortable working with a high level of ambiguity and delivering results in an unstructured environment.
- Can prioritize strategic objectives which optimize for speed, cost, and environmental impact while also achieving high-value tactical outcomes.
- Analytical approach and ability to use data effectively to size, prioritize, and stitch business elements to influence through effective storytelling.
- Experience with production line layouts and evaluation of new tools
- Experience working in a global operation
- Experience with predetermined time standards such as MODAPTS, MOST or MTM
- Modeling and evaluating discrete process simulations
- Experience with Design for Logistics operations including assembly/manufacturing
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing
- Exposure to ergonomic validations
- Ability to run basic models in discrete event simulation softwares (FlexSIM and PlantSIM)
- Experience maintaining product process flow, layout and parameters
- Experience implementing lean principles to various factory related processes
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $125,400 and $188,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
