Description
This is an exciting Hardware Design Engineer opportunity, that starts at product concept and continues all the way through to mass production. You will work with multi-functional teams to realize next generations of iPhone. The scope of work includes design, integration, and validation of rigid boards, printed flexible circuits, and overall system-level solutions that push the boundaries of technology. You will be expected to drive multi-functional technical discussions and propose creative solutions that will require you to make system tradeoffs. There will be opportunities for international travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- At least 5+ years of industry experience
- Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals including high speed design, analog and digital design, multi-feature system architecture and electrical design trade offs
- Schematic Capture and rigid/flexible PCB layout expertise
Preferred Qualifications
- MS Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Strong desire to dive deep into system level issues and drive problems to closure in a team-based environment with a proactive attitude
- Exposure to solving unwanted coupling and interference between subsystems
- Proven track record of leading dynamic multi-functional teams
- Familiarity with the challenges of taking a product from early architecture through to production
- Hands on experience with lab test equipment to debug difficult/intermittent hardware issues
- Fundamentals of Signal and Power Integrity
- Low voltage power regulation and delivery
- Prototype design and validation with custom silicon
- Use of scripting languages to assist with hardware development
- Broad experience across different applications and technologies
- Ability to analyze solutions and make system design trade-offs
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
