Description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to manage our team in developing survey systems for map-making applications. In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of product development from prototype to sustained engineering. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, and is passionate about enhancing processes and products. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development and maintenance of next-generation map survey systems Manage project schedules and deliverables Ensure systems meet government safety and radio interference regulations Facilitate collaboration between cross functional teams Continuously improve product reliability and performance
  • 5-10+ years of hands-on, electronics product design leadership
  • Strong mechanical engineering analytical skills, experience selecting materials and manufacturing processes based on engineering requirements
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (any modeling package, NX preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in mechanical engineering
  • Experience working with optical and electrical systems integration
  • Experience with camera systems for automotive applications
  • Electronics knowledge in a majority of these disciplines: industrial design, optics and lenses, cameras, sensors, displays, PCBs and flexes, silicon, antennas, batteries, thermals, mechanisms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience collaborating with overseas manufacturing facilities

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
