Description
Your role will encompass a diverse array of responsibilities, including: Control system design, analysis, and integration for haptic actuators Characterize and validate haptic module and system performance Perform system modeling and simulation Prototype bring-up, debug and characterization Define factory test requirements for haptic system Author engineering requirements and specifications Communicating cross-functionally and throughout management structure (written, verbal, and presentation) Perform failure mode analysis and problem solving International travel to support the product development IP generation
- Minimum requirement of a bachelors degree
- Strong background in control engineering, dynamics, and signal processing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team Oriented: must be able to thrive in collaborative cross-functional environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in control system design, analysis, implementation, and validation
- Familiarity with modeling electro-mechanical system
- Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and C/C++
- Experience with electromagnetic or piezoelectric actuators is a plus
- Experience with high volume mass production is a plus
- Knowledge of micro controller or embedded hardware/software is a plus
- Knowledge of state-space techniques is a plus
- Knowledge of nonlinear control technique is a plus
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics or equivalent with a specialization in control engineering
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $183,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
