Apple's Global AppleCare Support Operations & Technologies organization is looking for an experienced cross functional individual who will be responsible for global supply chain and procurement operations. You should be strategically minded with strong interpersonal skills and extensive supply chain management experience. As a leader on this team, you will play a meaningful role in ensuring operational and financial success for the organization. You will develop, communicate, and execute global supply plans. The AppleCare Equipment Operations team strives to deliver world-class support for AppleCare contact center staff and outsourced vendors in support of Apple's business goals.

Description

AppleCare Equipment Operations provides hardware support to AppleCare contact center staff globally, spread across 7 Apple sites and 10 countries. Our solutions come from our deep understanding of contact center operations, key partnerships with internal operations teams and third-party logistics partners. As the Global Supply Chain Manager for AppleCare Equipment Operations, you will manage the organizational budget, create quarterly forecasts, oversee global purchasing and procurement operations, manage warehouse inventory levels, develop standardized part numbers, and provide supply plans to Operations and Supply Demand Management.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Supply Demand Management or Buyer/Planner
  • Experience in budget management, procurement, demand forecasting, inventory management, or supply chain management is essential
  • Knowledge of asset life cycle and ability to identify improvement opportunities to streamline operations and reduce costs
  • Ability to partner with Supply Demand Management to communicate forecast, develop supply plan and expedite sales orders
  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to determine future requirements and support
  • Scheduled reporting of the inventory count, budget status and procurement forecast
  • Work to improve returns and minimize losses on assets and investments
  • Adept at leading multiple efforts simultaneously in an environment with ambiguity and frequent changes in timeline and strategy
  • Lead simplification of logistics solutions and processes for shipping / relocating assets
  • Ability to analyze actuals, forecasts and yield trends to determine demand and forecast hardware requirements
  • Proficiency in Excel and SAP and a high level of knowledge working with numbers
  • Seek out opportunities to enhance business performance in support of Apple's objectives
  • Exceptional ability to think strategically and execute tactically with a persistent attention to detail
  • Evaluate risks, plan and implement contingencies to mitigate
  • Experience presenting to differing levels of business partners
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7 years in Global Supply Chain Management, preferred
  • B.S. Degree in related field is a plus, or equivalent experience
