Description

The Human Engineering Software team works closely with many teams around the company to build powerful multi-platform tools. Responsibilities include: Gathering project requirements and proposing solutions Designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs Architecting complex data storage (relational, non-relational, block, file) Writing backend logic for data organization and processing Building powerful and intuitive client apps (Web, iOS, and macOS) Proactively proposing and implementing ideas Full-stack ownership (communicating with key stakeholders, design, implementation, and deployment)
  • Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and database design
  • Expertise architecting and developing full stack web applications with RESTful APIs
  • Web development experience with HTML5, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular (preferred), React, or Vue.
  • Experience with backend MVC frameworks such as Django (preferred), Rails, or Spring
  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated UI/UX design abilities
  • Experience designing scalable software systems
  • 2+ years Python experience
  • iOS development experience
  • Server Administration / DevOps, experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes)

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
