As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you'll help design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). You'll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Joining this group means you'll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple's devices. Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices. In this exciting role, you will be ramping product yield and performance by working closely with Apple wafer foundry partners. You will own identifying root cause for process & device related yield issues, proposing yield improvement plans and supervising the execution of these plans to meet Apple's product timeline. This role requires collaboration with Internal supply chain group, Apple SoC product and test engineering groups and external wafer foundries. GAA (Gate All Around) process and device experience is preferred.

Description
In this role, you will: - Handle the Identification, diagnosis, and correction of characteristics of the FEOL or BEOL process or layout issues which limit product yield and performance. - Design of experiments for FEOL and BEOL process module improvements. - Define and drive statistical yield, electrical test and defect data analysis with foundries - Handle foundry partners for timely execution of plans for process and performance improvements and product ramp - Plan process corners to ensure robust product performance across manufacturing process variation - Work with the foundry to improve process variation, ensure correct SPC limits in place for key process parameters - Regular communication of the process, yield improvement and execution status to Apple management team - Work with Apple's internal supply chain management and engineering/operational project management groups for post ramp system qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of process integration experience working in an IDM or a Foundry process.
- Experience in integration modules such as Fin and STI formation, Spacer, Silicide, Stress Engineering, High-K Metal Gate, Lithography, Etch, CMP technologies
- Experience with advanced process technology preferably Fin-FET and GAA CMOS.
- Sound understanding of MOSFET device physics and scaling impact
- Experience with process design rules and process assumptions
- Experience in yield management of high volume manufacturing
- Deep understanding of wafer sort testing and analysis methods for typical Application Processor and System On Chip
- Solid understanding of failure analysis techniques for root-causing process and device issues
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal teams and external suppliers
- Domestic and international travel is required
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
