We are looking for an experienced, technical Engineering Program Manager (EPM) with a real passion for embedded firmware and software to help us build next generation of technologies and products. As a member of our organization, you will lead teams crafting future products that will delight our customers. In this critical, highly visible role, you will handle projects involving the design, integration, and launch of innovative inductive technologies for world-renowned Apple products including MagSafe, iPhone, iPad, and Watch. You will play a key part in providing Apple customers with the best user-experience in the industry by driving the development and deployment of next-generation of wireless power technologies. Description
- Technical knowledge of firmware and embedded systems, especially focused on consumer products. - Establish effective and strong working relationships with key multi-functional partners - Identify and highlight technical risk areas and mitigation strategies in partnership with Apple technologists. Multi-functionally communicate the key developments and updates on projects - Grasp complex technical topics and abstract key issues and risks into an actionable form - Build schedules, identify critical paths, and maintain throughout execution - If you thrive in a constantly evolving and fast paced environment, have a strong sense of ownership, and know how to foster positive relationships, we want to talk to you!
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering program management experience; Software Product Development or Firmware/Embedded experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical program management experience; Software Product Development or Firmware/Embedded experience
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Masters of Engineering
- Hardware/Software/System integration experience and familiarity with power systems and / or inductive technologies
- Knowledgeable of one or more technologies: embedded software, sensor systems, machine learning. Ability to dive into technical details
- Ability to dive into technical details, grasp complex technical topics, and drive key multi-functional teams. Abstract key issues and risks into a practical format for team members and executives.
- Attention to detail & ability to break down requirements to implementation details
- Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in an environment of tight schedules and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills. Able to work with diverse teams and interact, influence, collaborate, and negotiate effectively at all levels of management
- Self-motivated and proactive. Understand and deals well with a fast paced environment, while remaining calm and flexible in the face of uncertainty
- Knows how to clarify where there is ambiguity by developing plans, establishing priorities, establishing and leading critical path, and is not shy to raise concerns to team and leadership
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
