Apple is seeking an Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to manage internal software tools supporting business operations for the Hardware Technologies organization. The EPM will drive the software product vision, strategy, and execution of core software tools used by the organization to enhance and streamline operational processes. These tools are central to HW Tech's tools and process ecosystem and this role is key in shaping its future while ensuring successful and timely delivery in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Description
As an EPM, you will own the software product development cycle of the Tools team including defining and driving product vision, coordinating the team to deliver high-quality solutions, and optimizing performance based on customer feedback and data, all while ensuring alignment with business goals, user needs, progress, and risks. You will approach your work with a user-centered design to advocate for the customer's needs, ensuring the product delivers strong value, effective adoption, and drives user engagement and retention. You will also be involved with continuous improvement and drive an iterative approach to product development. This role balances strategic software product management with the tactical execution of the engineering side, ensuring that development is aligned with business objectives, user needs, and technical capabilities. Execution and delivery are key.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of software product or program management experience managing the end-to-end product lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies
- Experience gathering customer insights, conducting user research, and iterating on product features
- Experience in a leadership role, driving product strategy, and influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority
- Technical proficiency to grasp technical concepts and the ability to participate in technical discussions and decision-making with engineering teams and to learn more about relevant fields
- Proficiency in using data tools (to collect, process, analyze, visualize) to track performance and make informed product decisions
- Familiarity with Resource Planning tools or similar workforce planning, analytics products or internal productivity tools
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,000 and $278,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
