Description

The Apple Services Engineering architecture program management team serve a highly cross-functional role working on the foundational systems of our media products, as well as Apple-wide infrastructure. We are looking for an experienced technical program manager to support the development of these systems, as well as larger software architecture initiatives. You will be involved in all aspects of the project life-cycle, whether it be helping develop functional requirements, getting into the detailed analysis, facilitating proofs-of-concept or QA, and tracking release management of multiple projects at once. We listen to different perspectives, help surface innovative ideas, and drive decisions that move us forward. You'll need a strong background in program and project management complemented by your technical abilities. You are skilled at driving software product development across a globally distributed organization and delivering new products and features that meaningfully surprise and delight our internal customers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science / Engineering or relevant industry experience
  • 5+ years of program management, product management, systems engineering or equivalent experience
  • Solid technical understanding of large scale distributed software systems, cloud architecture, development and deployment
  • Experience with release planning and SDLC methodologies
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent project management skills to drive schedules, dependencies, critical path and risks
  • Experience building feature and technical roadmaps
  • Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey information in a clear, concise and credible manner
  • Strong relationship management and facilitation skills both within diverse engineering teams and cross functional organizations
  • Ability to identify gaps in solutions, debate approaches, and weigh in on tradeoffs
  • Familiarity with open-source software development processes
  • Bonus points for past development experience

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
