The Audio and Media Technologies (AMT) Team is at the heart of these audio experiences and creates the audio infrastructure and software targeted to exploit the world-leading audio and haptics hardware found in Apple products. We are looking for a talented and highly-motivated Engineering Program Manager with an interest in audio to help us deliver the next generation of Apple products. The right candidate will be comfortable woking cross-functionally to drive highly-collaborative projects down to the details while exhibiting strong ownership of their programs with respect to audio and haptic functionality.

Description
In this role, you will be working closely with engineers, designers, and management to ensure the requirements of the project are being met and delivered on time. Your role will involve deep participation in the Apple product development process focused on low-level audio support from concept, scoping, planning, bringup, validation, and debug as your products progress from initiation to first customer ship. Responsibilities include: - Development and management of project schedules and deliverables, along with managing the associated task backlog as part of a comprehensive project plan to ensure all tasks are addressed in the committed timeframe. - Driving regular team meetings to focus on team tasks, working with managers and software developers to identify and resolve technical issues, involving multi-functional stake-holders as required. - Representing the team and its accomplishments in large cross-functional status meetings and executive reviews, including quality-focussed task and project reviews.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/MS (EE/CS/CE) or similar technical background.
- Familiarity with software product development.
- Familiarity with or a passion for audio technology and products.

- An innate desire to grow, learn, and continually improve processes, methodologies, and adopt new tools and techniques to further Apple's quest to deliver superior audio features and products to market.
- Solid technical background with great organization and planning skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead projects and teams in the planning, scoping and tracking of projects with confidence and ease.
- Ability to multi-task and context-switch in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Comfortable scaling from fine technical details to high-level program trends with ease and assume an overall sense of ownership of the audio functionality.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
