Description

The Corporate Systems group at Apple focuses on creative ways to engineer business solutions to meet the growing needs of Apple Finance, Apple Services, Sales, Retail, Apple Care, and Apple Online. Our portfolio comprises engineered custom solutions to process very high-volume micro-transactions from Apple Media Product and App Store Downloads, iPhone Activations, Sales from Retail/Online, Resellers, etc. These solutions are based on cutting-edge enterprise technologies ranging from Server Side Java, Web Technologies, Cocoa, iOS, Oracle, and No-SQL Databases. Accurately processing such high-volume transactions is our core strength. You will develop robust, centralized, automated products to help scan our landscape. Find opportunities and drive focused solutions for our complex problems. Lead and grow positive relationships with other Apple Line of Business leaders and internal business counterparts to drive adoption of these platforms at scale with speed. Partner with other Product Managers on cross-product and cross-company critical initiatives while staying laser-focused on de-risking from a Security, Privacy, and Compliance standpoint. We seek a self-starter with strong analytical and leadership capabilities. Exceptional communication skills, for collaborating across many participating teams. You will interact with many other group's internal teams to lead and deliver best-in-class solutions in an exciting fast-paced environment.   • 5+ years of experience in a Engineering Product Management role.
  • Experience crafting product roadmaps from conception to launch.
  • Education: BS/MS Computer Science or Equivalent industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Engineering Product Management role and delivering a product to market in a large-scale data handling role in a business focused in the Finance space.
  • Experience driving the product vision, defining strategy, leading design discussions keeping end-user experience as the north star.
  • Highly analytical demeanor with an ability to make decisions using both quantitative and qualitative data to gauge exciting priorities across business units in multiple geographies. Quickly move between contexts, and demonstrate agility and focus while continuing to deliver.
  • Understanding of modern technologies (Cloud-based solutions) along with technology stacks. Familiarity with distributed database technologies.
  • Should be a collaborative teammate partnering with Engineering Teams, Project teams, Dev Ops, and other stakeholders to deliver compelling products that meet Finance needs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to propose design, seek feedback, and iterate with business.
  • An eye for detail to accurately assess business requirements .
  • Dealing with ambiguity.
  • Embrace work with a sense of urgency and the ability to adapt to resetting priorities depending on business demands.
  • Must be able to brainstorm and communicate technology ideas and issues with peers and Management.
  • Additional requirements:
  • Background in Payments and Finance is desired.
  • Product Management certification is a plus.
