Description
We are looking for someone who can help us realize new low-power/high-compute audio DSP features in Apple's products. In this role, you will be responsible for developing,implementing, and optimizing signal processing algorithms on programmable HW. You will write unit tests and integration tests to enable comprehensive testing and validation of your software. You will work cross-functionally with Acoustics experts, algorithm engineers, DSP software engineers, audio driver developers, and HW engineers to integrate these features into real-time audio subsystems while solving audio fidelity and performance issues along the way.
Minimum Qualifications
- Deep understanding of DSP fundamentals, preferably in audio (speech enhancement, noise cancellation/reduction, media processing, sample rate conversion.)
- Excellent C/C++ coding skills
- Experience realizing audio/DSP/real-time features and applications
- Experience with development and debug of audio issues on HW platforms
- Ability to problem-solve independently and collaborate effectively with people from various disciplines
- BS/MS in EE or CS or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent Python skills
- Experience with audio test and measurement equipment and methodologies
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
