Description
- Work with design, verification and integration engineers to ensure memory controller and PHY requirements are well defined and cover the scope of DRAM based corner cases - Collaborate with DRAM GSM, EPM, System teams and vendors for Apple's main memory product - Ensure the timing, voltage, and power of the DRAM silicon meets Apple's requirements - Define DRAM corner silicon and ensure all AC/DC characteristics represent corner cases - Drive the validation and qualification of DRAM with the memory vendors - Debug RMA material with apparent DRAM related defects - Collaborating with our DRAM vendors to improve DRAM FAB/Assembly related defects - Drive the roadmaps and specs of memory vendors for next technology node devices
Minimum Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in DRAM development.
- Knowledge of DRAM cell architectures
- Exposure in DRAM memory organization and periphery design for low DRAM power
- Expertise in DRAM reliability.
- Knowledge of innovative packaging technology (POP, TSV, etc.) and their relationship to DRAM signal/power integrity
- Previous experience in Failure Analysis of DRAM devices
- Experience working with the major DRAM vendors. Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with memory interface verification with understanding DDR-PHY and Memory Controller
- Experience in LPDDR IO (DDR/DDR2/DDR3/DDR4/DDR5) characterization and qualification
- Knowledge of memory test patterns
- Excellent hardware and software debug skills
- Strong background in computer architecture
- Programming experience in C/C++/Python/Perl
- Bachelors or related degree program with 10 years of proven experience.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
