In this role, you will act as the senior security architect, defining and implementing security standards and practices that align with company goals, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. You serve as the go-to authority on a broad range of security domains, including cloud security, network security, data protection, application security, and emergency response. You will drive the design and deployment of secure and scalable architectures, ensuring security is embedded into our platforms from the ground up, stay ahead of emerging threats by continuously monitoring security trends and threat landscapes. You will conduct detailed risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies. You will collaborate with engineering, product, legal, and compliance teams to integrate security seamlessly into product design and infrastructure, encouraging a security-first culture across the organization. You will mentor and guide engineers across the organization, building a culture of security awareness and technical excellence. You will provide thought leadership to drive innovative security practices. You will lead and coordinate complex security incidents and investigations, including post-mortem analysis and forensic reviews, to continuously improve security protocols and responses.

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, including expertise in one or more areas such as cloud security, network security, or application security.
  • Expert knowledge in threat modeling, vulnerability management, security architecture, and secure coding practices.
  • Deep expertise in AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Strong coding or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and DevSecOps practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead security strategy and mentor teams across functions, driving a security-focused culture.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $293,300 and $468,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
