Joining our pre-silicon validation team - responsible for development and implementation of new display driver blocks and validation of new silicon. Collaborate with our silicon development team in development of new Display processing functionality.
Description
As a Display Technologies & Driver engineer, you will have responsibilities spanning all aspects of display driver including architecture, design, code development, debug and deployment Own feature design, implementation, debug, and delivery of display technologies on Macs, iPhone, iPad, Watches, Vision Pro and Apple TV. Participate in driving advances to display technologies, power-management, Color Management, HDR and other key Panel technologies. Partner with Internal teams including Display Silicon team and external vendor teams in developing architecture for next generation of display pipeline for Apple SOCs for Macs, iPhone, iPad, Watches, Vision Pro and Apple TV and other interesting products. Lead and carry forward highly complex software and hardware debug efforts. Implement user facing critical features, perform complex troubleshooting of problems and defect resolution. Intended Deliverables: Display driver deliverables from concept to product release Constructively engage with HW and X-functional SW teams to deliver product.

Minimum Qualifications
- Hands on experience in display driver development
- Excellent programming skills and knowledge of C/C++
- Development experience on Unix, Linux or Mac OS
- Excellent software design, problem solving and debugging skills
- Experience using and implementing general operating system concepts and strong kernel-mode device driver development skills
- Experience with systems engineering or low-level hardware & firmware/ driver programming
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with parallel and asynchronous processing
- Experience with HW bring up and debugging
- Experience with embedded systems
- Knowledge of Scaling, video formats and display technology
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
