We are seeking a hardworking and experienced product leader to oversee the vision for the overall App Store customer experience, across all of our platforms - iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS and soon, visionOS. You will lead the team behind customer discovery across browse, personalization, search, AI features, external referrals and games. Work alongside cross-functional partners in engineering, product design, business, editorial and marketing teams.

Description

- Deliver on a strong portfolio of features that improve and grow customer app discovery and engagement and drive business impact for the App Store - Define and develop consensus on product vision, strategy, and ongoing optimization for the storefront features, Apple Arcade, and Game Center across cross-functional teams globally - Advance the faithful implementation of the product vision and strategy, from managing the feature definition process, to crafting how it's unveiled to the public - Successfully advocate for the prioritization of impactful features on the engineering roadmap and secure key resource commitments among cross functional teams - Interact with company executives to build product vision for new features, report on improvements to the customer experience over time, and provide domain expertise - Have expert knowledge of the field, including competitive and 3rd party products and competitor strategy, including privacy-focused product approaches. Develop a corporate development strategy and suggest M&A activity as needed

Key Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in a senior role leading product development for personalized discovery experiences in consumer digital services, content platforms, or mobile e-commerce that brought delight to customers; Experience in social gaming a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; proven track record of successfully influencing and negotiating with partners and working with many groups to achieve goals; thrives in highly collaborative projects, handles high stakes decisions with ease, and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Experience engaging effectively with high-level executives, including delivering presentations, gaining support for initiatives, and advocating your point of view
  • Experience managing and professionally developing a team, overseeing a portfolio of multi-year projects toward completion
  • Ability to operate seamlessly between highly detailed and technical situations as well as strategic business situations
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to identify key opportunities and measure impact to drive improved customer experiences
  • Extraordinary oral and written communication skills; ability to become fluent in technical concepts and explain to executives and non-technical partners
  • Very strong storytelling and Keynote presentation skills

Education & Experience

BS degree or equivalent experience, JD or MS/MBA a plus

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $284,900 and $455,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
