Description

Your team is responsible for end-to-end projects - concept to launch - for products and features that will surprise and delight Apple customers. You will operate as an inspired leader who helps establish and maintain an environment of empowered teams. You are responsible for structures and systems that ensure delivery, bring alignment, encourage innovation, and produce continuous process improvement. Key responsibilities include: Attract, develop and lead an elite team of highly skilled Program Managers, providing guidance, mentorship and support. Collaborate and facilitate complex work across globally distributed teams, including Platform, server-side and client app Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Hardware Technologies, Data Science, Product Management, Business Development, Business Operations, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Partner Engineering and others. Get into the details and lead sometimes technical discussions toward successful outcomes despite ambiguous requirements and multiple viewpoints. Identify interdependencies between various internal and external partner groups to ensure alignment and efficiency. Proactively identify risks, communicate often and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to define mitigation plans and drive resolution.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years experience in software development Program Management with 10+ years experience leading Program Management teams.
  • Experience shipping consumer-focused software features and products at the scale of the internet, across multiple countries with diverse cultural and regulatory environments.
  • Extraordinary collaboration skills, excelling at high-level thinking and execution, pragmatically influencing and inspiring others to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Technical intuition and understanding of engineering concepts with the demonstrated ability to grasp complex design and process problems and distill them into simple instructions.
  • BS or equivalent work experience.

  • Mindset of planning for scale and succession. Think beyond short-term wins and needs of the moment. Prepare your team and partner organizations for new challenges that arise from changes in scale, scope and succession.
  • Current or prior Program Management leadership experience at Apple is highly desired.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $284,900 and $455,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
