Description

We're seeking a talented DevOps engineer with CI/CD expertise to help streamline digital experience delivery for tens of thousands of Apple devices across 500+ stores worldwide. You'll be collaborating with Apple Retail, Software Engineering, and IS&T organizations to influence technical roadmaps, troubleshoot performance, capacity, and system limitations with QA teams, and implement enhancements or new architecture. Successful candidates are humble, curious, creative, tenacious, organized, have clarity of thought and can lead through ambiguity. - Manage and maintain CI/CD pipeline infrastructure for on-premise Mac and Linux hardware deployments, including maintaining and configuring test, stage and prototype environments - Status monitoring of all pipelines, failure response, triage/debugging, root cause analysis, resolution of issues - Automate and enhance the development release process and QA cycle to improve build cycle processes - Collaborate and partner with Ops, Developers, QA engineers to understand needs, architect new features, services and alternative system designs, as well as maintain technical documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience designing and delivering enterprise CI/CD implementation strategy and execution
  • Full stack software development skills in DevOps Infrastructure Automation
  • Proficient in script languages (Python/Bash), configuration management, and monitoring across heterogeneous compute environments such as Macs and Linux
  • Experience developing and installing CI/CD pipeline solutions using tools from Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, and Puppet
  • Strong scripting languages skills in Python & Bash
  • Strong communication skills for concise updates on product iterations and project deliverables
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar fields a plus

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
