Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer who is passionate about operational excellence through automation and engineering processes. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of development and operations processes, to deliver best in class and highly available systems. The main responsibilities for this position include: Analyze the technology options/feasibility and define the build, delivery, and deployment pipeline for applications Provide leadership in implementing a secure, robust and high availability DevOps pipeline Automate build & deployment processes Work closely with engineers, QA, project managers throughout the software lifecycle in optimally delivering outstanding, large scale systems Implement push button deployment at scale with zero downtime
  • BS degree in computer science or equivalent field with 3+ years experience
  • Must have good oral/written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proactive and solution-oriented individual
  • Highly skilled at developing and debugging in Java, GoLang and Python
  • Cloud Concepts and hands-on experience with Public Cloud Providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Working knowledge of containerization (Docker), and supporting technologies
  • Experience in Source control management such as Git, Github
  • Experience with Orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Splunk for investigating or monitoring problems on systems
  • Familiarity with Linux operating system internals, filesystems, network
  • A desire to write tools and applications to automate work rather then do things manually
  • Ability to use and build web applications using REST, JSON, or similar protocols
  • Working knowledge of CVEs, OWASP and cloud security/compliance
  • Experience maintaining automated build systems such as Jenkins
  • Experience maintaining large clusters using configuration tools such as: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt
  • Knowledge of web servers and load balancers such as Apache HTTP Server, Nginx and Envoy
  • Experience working with server clusters consisting of 100s-1000s of machines, and deploying changing with zero downtime

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
