The Developer Experience Human Interface Design team conceptualizes, designs and ships the user experience for Apple developer tools. You will design for Xcode, and other tools, used by millions of developers around the world to build, test, and ship software for Apple's platforms! Our team is looking for an experienced contributor who is skilled in user-focused design and has a strong understanding of technical concepts and tools. We care deeply about building experiences that elegantly solve for intricate workflows with the finesse of Apple's design principles. We are a team of designers who are comfortable rapidly iterating on feedback, enjoy defining product direction, have precise attention to detail, and an exquisite design aesthetic. We're looking for someone who will bring innovative ideas, foster a supportive environment, and enhance the effectiveness and cohesion of our team as we create functional and inspirational developer experiences.

Description
Drive product direction by incorporating expertise and perspectives into a cohesive, impactful vision. Build trusted partnerships with cross-functional teams, skillfully balancing requirements and constraints. Utilize user research techniques to gain actionable insights and steer product strategy. Create design mockups, prototypes, and specifications using Sketch or similar software. Apply, adapt, or develop design patterns to solve new challenges. Maintain a high level of detail, ensuring pixel-perfect designs. Advocate for user needs, accessibility, and the standardization of design patterns to deliver a cohesive and unified experience. Present and pitch your ideas to other designers, cross-functional teams, and leadership. Interpret and incorporate feedback from all levels, refining designs as needed. Adapt to changing scope, requirements, and limitations throughout development. Make a lasting impact on Apple's software by creating intuitive, elegant tools that empower engineers to ship high-quality apps.
- Comfortable within a highly technical domain area

- Portfolio demonstrating your design thinking, hands-on expertise, and problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years industry experience as a UX designer, Human Computer interaction designer, or related role.
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
