Do you love taking on big challenges that require exceptionally creative solutions? Do you deeply understand how an incredible camera experience should work? As part of our Camera Technologies group, you'll help design the innovative technology that allows each generation of Apple products to produce photos even more incredible than the last. You'll design and develop groundbreaking ideas for everything involved in our camera systems, from sensor to lens. You'll collaborate with teams across Apple to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware for Apple products. Together, we'll craft a magical photography experience that redefines what millions of customers can expect from their cameras. The Depth Test Engineering group is responsible for research, design, development, test, and qualification of camera hardware for Apple products. The Test team is looking for depth module calibration & test engineer with responsibilities for the designing and bringing up the hardware and software that calibrates and tests the imaging components that go into Apple products. You will be involved with designing, implementing, debugging, and developing the methods to calibrate imaging systems and then the metrics to quantify their performance at factories around the world!

Description
Core responsibilities include: Develop new testers/critical optical component to meet design requirements for calibration and test. Develop and deploy software that calibrates and tests imaging systems. Analyze volume data to provide guidance on engineering decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS and a strong understanding of imaging systems/optics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of camera technology
- Experience in image processing or software development, programming experience with Matlab / C++ preferred.
- Exceptional Mechanical/HW/SW problem solving and optimization skill
- Self-motivated professional. Good team player w/ passion
- Experience in lens characterization methodology and calibration is a plus
- Experience on camera/depth sensing device/optical device test would be big plus
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
