Apple's US Decision Intelligence (DI) team is looking for a talented individual who is passionate about crafting, implementing, and operating solutions that have a direct and measurable impact on Apple Sales and its customers. As a Data Visualization Lead, you will work as a key member of a data-centric team to drive the exploration, analysis, development, execution, and measurement of analytical solutions that are crucial to running the business. This role will operate in both capacities, to augment existing data solutions, as well as innovate and trailblazing data strategy projects on the Region, crafting analytic experiences that simplify data into insights and catalyze decision making.

Description

In this role, you will: - Own a portfolio of data products, ensuring our Design Process and Design System is followed across developers and engineers. - Act as a data translator, bridging the gap in expertise between technical teams, made up of data analysts, data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders. Successfully bridging analytics and business, with the ability to speak the language of both. - Influence data product design, drive KPIs definitions and develop your own data solutions as needed. - Summarize & communicate complex ideas/assumptions and present findings effectively using data and storytelling to a diverse set of partners. - Build and support dashboards and self-service tools (using several platforms) to analyze and present internal and external data. - The role requires a broad knowledge of existing data visualization techniques, strong eye for business, and creativity. - Support data quality and accuracy by enforcing our best practices.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a Data Visualization, Data Science, or Data Analysis, with a keen eye for design.
  • Proven expertise with data visualization tools (such as Tableau, d3, plotly, etc.) for data analysis and presentation.
  • Experience with frontend dev (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, etc.) as well as Tableau and other Data Visualization tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of best practices in data analysis, data visualization, and data science.
  • Experience articulating and translating business questions into data solutions, paired with excellent stakeholder management.
  • Understanding of design principles, user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
  • Able to balance competing priorities, long-term projects, and ad hoc requirements.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, constantly evolving business environment.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts.
  • An appreciation of functional design or interested in developing your design aesthetic.
  • Great understanding of Design Processes and Design Systems.
  • Experience with Tableau Server, TabPy, Extensions, and Tableau Prep.
  • Familiarity with cloud and Gen AI paradigms.
  • Basics in programming languages and tools like Python, R, Git, Airflow, Notebooks.
  • Experience with SQL-based languages.

Pay & Benefits

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
