You'll be part of the team establishing and implementing Data Governance, to improve decision-making, sales performance, and optimize business planning for the U.S. Channel Sales team. In this role, you will be the prime mover of your products end to end, working on small-to-medium size projects to support a wide variety of sales and operational activities. You will ensure the effective management and governance of our data assets, driving data scale, quality and compliance across the organization. You will collaborate with various teams to optimize data processes and ensure that our data practices align with industry standards and regulations. Description
Lead the development and execution of an overall data governance strategy for U.S. Channel Sales Work with a cross-functional team to implement data governance, including internal IT teams, engineers, data analysts, and business operations. Data Management: Be the data steward and owner of data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems. Governance: Implement, document, and enforce data governance policies and procedures. Compliance: Ensure data practices adhere to regulatory requirements and internal privacy and security policies Optimization: Streamline data processes and workflows for efficiency. Monitoring: Continually assess data integrity, addressing any issues that arise and using a continuous improvement approach to reduce issues in future. Develop and use KPIs to ensure data quality is measured and managed. Informing and Aligning: Prepare team and leadership updates on status and success of data initiatives. Ensure data initiatives are prioritized in alignment with the business roadmap for maximum impact. Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure work remains cutting-edge.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in data operations, governance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in all of the following:
- SQL for querying and managing databases
- DAMA-DMBoK and COBIT frameworks for principles of Data Governance
- Collibra, Informatica, or similar for managing data governance rules, lineage, definitions
- Experience with Partner and 3rd party data sets
- Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends and anomalies, and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience solving large-scale data-related issues, implementing new governance processes, managing data integration / ETL challenges
- Experience in managing projects related to data governance or operations, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Understanding of data security and privacy best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation & analysis
- Experience working with hardware sales companies or consumer goods industry
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to inspire non-technical colleagues on value proposition and impact of data governance
- Experience leveraging AIML and automation solutions to reduce data-related errors and drive scale
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $140,700 and $234,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
